ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - A suicide bomber attacked police in the Pakistani capital on Sunday near a mosque where Islamists had been marking the anniversary of an army commando raid on the complex, an Interior Ministry official said.

"It was a suicide attack," the government's top Interior Ministry official, Rehman Malik, told reporters at the scene.

He said eight people had been killed but police said the death toll was more than 10, most of them policemen.
