ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkey's ruling AK Party will propose its presidential candidate to parliament again on Wednesday despite a court ruling invalidating the first round of the election, government spokesman Cemil Cicek said on Tuesday.

Cicek told a news conference the government would seek the attendance of 367 deputies in parliament for Wednesday's vote. Earlier, the top court invalided Friday's first round of voting because there were fewer than that number in the chamber.

Cicek also said the government was ready to hold early parliamentary elections as sought by opposition parties and Turkey's business elite, provided parliament agreed to apply a law lowering the age threshold for lawmakers to 25. The AK Party believes this change will help its chances in the election.
