Putin says South Stream will not hinder Nabucco
ANKARA, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Thursday the planned Kremlin-backed South Stream natural gas pipeline would not stand in the way of a European rival, the Nabucco pipeline.
Speaking at a joint news conference Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan added the Nabucco and South Stream pipelines, both of which will pass through Turkish territory, are not mutually exclusive. (Reporting by Orhan Coskun and Gleb Bryanski)
