- PERTAMINA EXPECTS LOWER MARGINS TO HIT NET PROFIT

State-owned oil and gas firm, PT Pertamina, expects 2008 net profit to drop 18 percent to 17 trillion rupiah ($1.87 billion) on the back of the lower margin it will received from the distribution of state subsidised fuels, its finance director said.

State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) plans to invite bids early next year for the development of the Sumatra and Java power transmission networks, a company executive said.
