The government is considering imposing a limit on the use of kerosene by household customers, Indonesia's energy minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro said.

Indonesian state electricity company, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara, has secured $1.9 billion loans for the construction of five coal-fired power plants as part of government plan to boost the country's electricity output by 10,000 megawatts by 2010, its president director said.
