Indonesian flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia plans to spend $100 million in 2010 to buy more planes as part of its five-year expansion plan, said Finance Director Eddy Porwanto. (Jakarta Post)

- PERTAMINA EYES 30 STAKE IN HANOI TROUGH BLOCK IN VIETNAM
State oil firm PT Pertamina plans to acquire a 30 percent stake in Hanoi Trough Block in Vietnam, part of efforts to increase crude supply for its domestic refineries, president director Karen Agustiawan said. (Bisnis Indonesia)
- NEW MILITARY COMMANDERS INSTALLED
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono installed Lt. Gen. George Toisuta as the new Army chief, Vice Adm. Agus Suhartono as the new Navy chief, and Rear Marshall Imam Sufaat as the new Air Force chief. (Jakarta Post)

* Indonesia's index was up 0.47 percent on Monday. Largest automotive distributor Astra International (ASII.JK) gained 4.12 percent, and heavy equipment maker United Tractors (UNTR.JK) was up 4.67 percent.
* A broad U.S. stocks rally sent the Dow industrials to a 13-month high on Monday, after the Group of 20 pledged to keep aid flowing to the world economy, strengthening investors' desire for risk. [.N]
* Oil rose more than 2 percent on Monday after Tropical Storm Ida forced the shut in of 30 percent of oil production in the Gulf of Mexico, cutting supplies to the world's largest energy consumer. [O/R]
