- PERTAMINA OBTAINED $500 MILLION LOAN FROM JBIC
State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has obtained a $500 million loan from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) to develop geothermal projects through subsidiary PT Pertamina Geothermal Energi, said Finance Director Ferederick Siahaan. State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) needs 8.6 trillion rupiah ($917.8 million) to support electricity transmission and distribution in Jakarta and surrounding areas to solve a blackout problem, said PLN director for Java-Bali-Madura area Murtaqi Syamsuddin. - TEAM 8 TO REPORT ITS FINDING ON GRAFT AGENCY DISPUTE

* Indonesia's index .JKSE rose on Friday for a third day, adding 0.3 percent, with Adaro Energy (ADRO.JK) climbing 5.6 percent and Bank Negara Indonesia (BBNI.JK) up 1 percent, adding to their gains on Thursday after news the stocks would be included in the MSCI Indonesia Index with effect from Nov. 30. * U.S. stocks rose in light volume on Friday to achieve a second straight week of gains as upbeat retail news reinforced hopes for strong sales in the key holiday season. [.N]
