KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 (Reuters) - Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) is not seeking to buy a stake in Bursa Malaysia (BMYS.KL: Quote, Profile, Research) in their current discussions on a possible collaboration, the Malaysian stock exchange operator said on Wednesday.

Bursa had said on Monday it was in talks with the CME on a potential collaboration but that the discussions were still preliminary and that no terms had been agreed.

Chief Executive Yusli Yusoff, speaking to reporters, also said that Bursa planned to launch its much-awaited U.S.-dollar palm-oil futures contract next month. (Reporting by Liau Y-Sing. editing by Mark Bendeich)
