KUALA LUMPUR, July 13 (Reuters) - UK-based investment holding company Lenstar Investments Ltd is studying a plan to build a petroleum refinery and petrochemical complex in Malaysia worth up to $8 billion, a Malaysian newspaper reported on Monday.
Lenstar will begin feasibility studies for the project in the northern state of Perak and Malacca in the southwest, the company's managing director Mohammad Munir Malik was quoted as saying by The Edge Financial Daily.
Lenstar had earlier began building an $800 million oil storage terminal and marine facility in Malaysia's northern state of Kedah, the report said.
