(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 4:50 p.m. British time on Tuesday:

* Denotes new or updated item:

* MOSUL - A truck bomb killed one person and wounded 25 others in a small town near the city of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

* MOSUL - A roadside bomb killed one policeman in Mosul, police said.

BAGHDAD - The U.S. military has begun withdrawing from Iraq the last of the five additional combat brigades that were deployed to the country in 2007, a U.S. military spokesman said.

NEAR BAQUBA - A roadside bomb wounded five people south of Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) northeast of Baghdad, police said.

SULAIMAN PEK - A bodyguard of the mayor of the town of Sulaiman Pek was killed by a bomb attached to his car, police said. The town lies 160 km (100 miles) north of Baghdad.

NEAR BAQUBA - A roadside bomb killed three brothers and wounded their father south of Baquba, police said.

BAGHDAD - The Iraqi army killed two militants and arrested 30 others in operations during the last 24 hours in different areas in Iraq, the Defence Ministry said.  Continued...
