FACTBOX-Security developments in Iraq, April 3

* MOSUL - Iraqi security forces arrested 83 suspected insurgents during sweeps through Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, local police head Major General Wathiq al-Hamadani said.
* NEAR RAMADI - The bodies of five men were found east of the city of Ramadi, 110 km (70 miles) west of Baghdad, police said.
* LATIFIYA - Two policemen were shot and killed in Latifiya, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, a hospital source said.
* KUT - Gunmen attacked a petrol station in Kut, 170 km (100 miles) southeast of Baghdad, killing one guard and wounding another, police said
BAQUBA - Police found the bodies of seven people shot in different districts of the religiously mixed city of Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
TAL AFAR - Four al Qaeda militants were killed and 21 detained, including two leaders, in clashes with Iraqi security forces in the town of Tal Afar, about 420 km (260 miles) northwest of Baghdad, police Brigadier Ibrahim al-Jouburi said.
ANBAR PROVINCE - A U.S. Marine and a soldier died on Monday during combat operations in Anbar, the U.S. military said. Continued...
