Briefs3-Injured Escude returns to France for treatment
May 5 (Reuters) - Sports news in brief from around the world.
Soccer - Sevilla's France defender Julien Escude will travel to his home country to be treated for a groin injury by a doctor from the French Football Federation, the Primera Liga club said on their Web site (www.sevillafc.es).
It is the second time this season he has retuned to France for treatment on a groin complaint. Escude had to be substituted in the first half of the 2-0 win over Valladolid on Sunday.
Soccer - Inter Milan owner Massimo Moratti said he would not make any rash decisions following Sunday's 2-1 defeat by AC Milan and confirmed coach Roberto Mancini wants to stay with the Serie A leaders.
Mancini said in March he would leave in May but changed his mind the next day. Rumours are rife in the press that he will still quit with Jose Mourinho poised to take over.
"It's certainly not one incident or one match that makes you change idea," Moratti told reporters. "I think he has said it more than once (that he wants to stay)."
Soccer - Italy coach Roberto Donadoni, whose contract runs out in July, will meet soccer federation president Giancarlo Abete on Wednesday but talks about a new deal are still likely to take place after Euro 2008. Continued...
