Spain's Iberdrola wins solar power contract

MADRID, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Spanish power company Iberdrola (IBE.MC) said on Friday it has won a 74 million euros ($97 million) contract to build a 40-acre solar power site in northern Spain which will produce 11.65 megawatts of power.

In common with other power companies, Iberdrola is diversifying away from traditional power generation methods and also has solar plants in Greece, Italy, France and the United States.
