Woods hangs on to win in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Reuters) - Tiger Woods clinched a two-stroke victory at the $6.4 million Wachovia Championship on Sunday.
Woods shot a closing 69 in tough, windy conditions to finish at 13-under 275 at Quail Hollow, picking up his 57th career victory on the PGA Tour and his third in six starts this year.
Fellow American Steve Stricker (69) was second, despite bogeying the last after finding the creek with his approach shot.
Overnight leader Rory Sabbatini of South Africa tied for third with Phil Mickelson, two shots further back.
