Ireland's Carroll sells stake in FBD
DUBLIN (Reuters) - Irish property developer Liam Carroll sold his entire shareholding in Irish insurer FBD Holdings (FBD.I) last week, the Sunday Times reported.
Carroll was not immediately available for comment.
The Sunday Times, which cited unnamed sources, said Carroll had sold his stake in FBD FBD.L, which was estimated to be up to 3 percent of the company.
The report said Carroll liquidated the holdings at the same time as he had sold shares in Irish carrier Aer Lingus (AERL.I) last week. Irish media estimated Carroll sold at least 30 million shares in Aer Lingus (AERL.I) last week.
The Sunday Times said the disposals made by Carroll represented a clear-out of non-core holdings.
Earlier this year FBD, which faces mounting competition in the Irish insurance market, shunned a bid approach from the Netherlands' biggest insurer Eureko.
