LONDON, Oct 9 (Reuters) - London-based ETF Securities is to launch a range of exchange-traded commodities (ETCs) on the London Stock Exchange on Oct 10, allowing access to commodity futures at differing maturities, the company said on Tuesday.

ETF Securities said in a statement the ETCs will track 29 individual commodities and baskets of commodities, with two maturities available that would give investors access to key areas such as energy, agriculture, precious and base metals.

"Many investors have approached us showing an appetite for ETCs priced off a range of commodities futures," Graham Tuckwell, Chairman of ETF Securities, said in a statement.

"Increased investor demand and knowledge has resulted in investors wanting access to more choice and alternative trading and investment strategies," he added.

The first ETCs to track DJ-AIG Commodity Indices were listed on the LSE in September last year. Since then, the existing 29 ETCs tracking DJ-AIG Commodity Indices have accumulated over $1.2 billion in assets, the company said.

The most popular ETCs have been those tracking precious metals and agriculture, which contribute 70% of ETC assets.
