Air France-KLM (AIRF.PA) CEO Jean-Cyril Spinetta continues round of meetings with Italian officials in efforts to gather support for the company's planned takeover of Alitalia.

The Franco-Dutch airline plans to revive Alitalia through a sizeable capital infusion and list the combined group in Milan as well, Spinetta said. But it has yet to decide whether to take over the services and maintenance unit AZ Servizi.

Air One, whose bid for Alitalia was snubbed in favour of Air France-KLM, is working with backer Intesa Sanpaolo (ISP.MI) on reinforcing its presence at Malpensa, the Milan airport which the Franco-Dutch company would relinquish as a hub if it bought Alitalia, Il Sole 24 Ore says, without quoting sources.
