Daimler - Europe truck market to slow in '09-paper
FRANKFURT, July 10 (Reuters) - The European truck market will likely weaken next year, with growth even slowing in dynamic eastern Europe, Daimler's (DAIGn.DE) trucks division head, Andreas Renschler, told the Stuttgarter Zeitung.
"This year, the market will grow again in both western and eastern Europe. Next year, a slight reversal in the overall market in Europe is to be expected," Renschler was quoted by the newspaper as saying.
The Daimler board member also reiterated that its trucks division would increase worldwide unit sales this year and improve earnings before interest and tax. (Reporting by James Regan; Editing by Erica Billingham)
