FACTBOX - London 2012 Olympic cost breakdown
LONDON (Reuters) - The London 2012 Olympic Games remains on track not to exceed its 9.3 billion pounds budget, the government announced on Monday.
Olympics Minister Tessa Jowell gave the update in a written statement to the House of Commons as part of the most detailed financial breakdown of the Games' costs.
It followed a request in July by the financial watchdog, the National Audit Office, to draw up a detailed baseline for controlling the budget.
A total of 8.1 billion pounds will be made available to the Olympic Delivery Authority, including 2 billion pounds of contingency.
A total 1.2 billion pounds will be spent on non-ODA activities, such as elite and community sports, the Paralympic Games and security.
