OAKMONT, Pennsylvania, June 15 (Reuters) - Sixteen-year-old Canadian amateur Richard Lee withdrew because of an injured right wrist after 14 holes of his second round at the U.S. Open on Friday.

Lee, the youngest player in the field at Oakmont, said the injury occurred when he tried to get out of the rough at the par-four 11th.

"I had a chip shot, probably 20 feet," he told reporters. "It caught my wrist a little bit. It hurt a lot."

Lee was 11 over for the day, and 20 over for the tournament, when he walked in.
