Iberdrola tells EDF: bid for us or shut up

BILBAO, Spain, April 15 (Reuters) - The chairman of takeover target Iberdrola (IBE.MC) told France's EDF (EDF.PA) to bid for the Spanish utility or "shut up".

State-controlled EDF in January denied buying a stake in Iberdrola, Spain's biggest utility, but subsequently said it had held spoken to Iberdrola shareholder ACS (ACS.MC) about a possible bid. (Reporting by Joe Ortiz; Editing by Ben Harding)
