Tunisair confirms Airbus plane order
FARNBOROUGH (Reuters) - Tunisair confirmed an order for Airbus aircraft worth about $1.94 billion (964 million pounds) at list prices as it looks to expand its routes to North America and Asia and grow its regional services.
Tunisair said on Tuesday it had signed a firm contract for three A350-800s, three A330-200s and 10 A320s after announcing a letter of acceptance for the aircraft in April.
"The A330s and later on the A350 will really allow us to develop our long-haul market, while our A320 fleet, which is already performing extremely well, will be further expanded," Tunisair president and chief executive Nabil Chettaoui said at the Farnborough Airshow.
