SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Barclays (BARC.L) has approached Singapore sovereign fund Temasek TEM.UL and other existing shareholders with a view to raising more capital from them, a Singapore source aware of the talks said on Monday.

The source told Reuters that Temasek had not decided what it will do next, and that the fund would examine if Barclays sells shares to other investors how much dilution it would it cause to the fund's existing stake of 2 percent.

"It is a Barclays initiative," the source said. "They are shopping around."
