LONDON (Reuters) - Mobile phone group Vodafone (VOD.L) has pulled out of the auction for Italy's Tiscali (TIS.MI), the Financial Times said on Thursday.

The newspaper cited people close to the auction as saying that Tiscali had received at least one offer, but that Vodafone would not make a proposal.

BSkyB (BSY.L) and Carphone Warehouse (CPW.L), Italy's Wind and Swisscom (SCMN.VX) were all still interested in Tiscali, it said.

Vodafone might rejoin the auction if Tiscali did not reach an agreement with one of the four remaining companies, it added.

Vodafone was not immediately available for comment.
