DUBLIN (Reuters) - Members of Ireland's Greens on Saturday failed to agree on whether to support or oppose the EU's reform treaty in a vote on the issue, an official said.

It was not immediately clear how it would affect the party's position within Ireland's coalition government.

Ireland is the only one of the European Union's 27 member states to hold a referendum on the treaty this year, and a "no" vote in the country of 4 million could topple the entire project to reform the bloc's institution after years of diplomatic wrangling.
