Yell says not interested in Thomson Directories
LONDON (Reuters) - Classified advertising directories firm Yell Group (YELL.L) said on Tuesday it was not interest in buying Italian rival Seat Pagine Gialle's PG.MI Thomson Directories business.
"We're not interested," Yell Chief Executive John Condron told Reuters, responding to persistent speculation that the owner of Britain's Yellow Pages might look to buy Thomson Directories.
"We wouldn't be allowed to," Condron added in a telephone interview, referring to likely opposition to a deal from anti-trust authorities.
Condron also said he expected tough economic conditions to continue for the foreseeable future. "I think it's going to continue for the rest of this year," he said.
