UPDATE 1-Soccer-Roundup-Arsenal's Toure, West Ham's Bellamy out
(Updates Toure injury)
LONDON, Feb 21 (Reuters) - Soccer news in brief from around the world:
* The calf injury Arsenal's Kolo Toure picked up in Wednesday's goalless draw with AC Milan in the Champions League may not sideline the defender for as long as first feared.
"The news is maybe a bit better," manager Arsene Wenger told the north London club's Web site (www.arsenal.com). "For me on Wednesday night it looked like he would be out for two to four weeks. The way he was walking perhaps four. But today the medical staff said to me it would be closer to two than four."
The Ivorian, who recently returned from the African Cup of Nations, picked up the injury after seven minutes at The Emirates and had to be replaced by Philippe Senderos.
* West Ham United's 28-year-old Wales striker Craig Bellamy needs surgery on a troublesome abdominal injury and faces up to six weeks out despite having gone under the knife in October.
"The operation.. should be the bit he needs before continuing his strengthening," club physio George Cooper was quoted as saying on Sky Sports Web site (www.skysports.com). Continued...
