(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1930 GMT on Tuesday:

DIYALA PROVINCE - A group linked to Al Qaeda in Iraq claimed responsibility for a suicide car bomb that killed nine U.S. soldiers and wounded 20 in one of the worst attacks on U.S. ground forces since the invasion in 2003.

RAMADI - A suicide truck bomb killed 25 people and wounded 44 in the Albufarraj area near the insurgent stronghold of Ramadi, 110 km west of Baghdad, police said.

FALLUJA - A Marine was killed during combat operations in Anbar province, an insurgent stronghold west of Baghdad, on Monday, the U.S. military said.

BAGHDAD - Nineteen bodies were found around Baghdad in the past 24 hours, police said.

NUMANIYA - Two bodies, which showed signs of torture, were found in a river in Numinaya, 120 km south of Baghdad, police said.

NUMANIYA - A police officer and two of his family members, including a child, were injured when a roadside bomb exploded in front the officer's home, police said.

BAGHDAD - Mortar rounds killed four people and wounded 10 in eastern Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - Two roadside bombs exploded in quick succession, killing one person and wounding two others, in Palestine Street in north-eastern Baghdad, police said.  Continued...
