Soccer-Euro 2008 finalists Turkey held to a draw in Belarus
MINSK, March 26 (Reuters) - Tuncay Sanli scored one goal and set up another to help Euro 2008 finalists Turkey draw 2-2 with Belarus in a friendly on Wednesday.
Vitali Kutuzov gave the hosts a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute before Middlesbrough striker Tuncay levelled with a low drive from the edge of the box three minutes later.
Vyacheslav Hleb, younger brother of Arsenal midfielder Aleksandr Hleb, put Belarus back in front with a solo effort in the 64th.
Turkey again fought back as Tuncay laid on the equaliser for the unmarked Tumer Metin 19 minutes from time.
The teams struggled to string passes together on a soggy pitch after a heavy snowstorm in the Belarus capital the night before.
German Bernd Stange, appointed Belarus coach in July, is trying to rebuild a team that finished fourth in their Euro 2008 qualifying group behind Romania, Netherlands and Bulgaria.
