HELSINKI, April 28 (Reuters) - Outokumpu (OUT1V.HE) said on Monday it has agreed to sell its copper tube assets to managers of the unit for 50 million euros ($78 million) as the Finnish firm continues to focus on stainless steel making.

Outokumpu said it will book a capital loss of some 65 million euros on the transaction, but said the deal with Cupori Group, set up by managers for the acquisition, would not affect the group's sales nor operating profit.

The sale is scheduled to be completed by mid-May.

The transaction involves Outokumpu's copper plumbing installation and industrial tube manufacturing companies in Finland, Spain, Sweden and Belgium as well as its copper tube sales companies in France, Germany and Italy.

The businesses, which employ some 730 staff, last year suffered a loss of 5 million euros on sales of 510 million.

Outokumpu said it also plans to divest its remaining two brass producing units in Sweden and the Netherlands.
