LONDON (Reuters) - X-Factor winner Leona Lewis went straight to the top of the singles charts with "Bleeding Love", the Official Charts Company said on Sunday.

"Bleeding Love" outsold Take That's "Rule the World" by more than two to one, ensuring last week's number two was a non-mover and making Lewis's record -- with sales of 218,000 -- the fastest selling single in 2007 in its first week of release.

"The sales are incredible," said X-Factor judge Simon Cowell -- whose record label SyCo Music, which is part of Sony BMG -- released "Bleeding Love".

"I'm absolutely thrilled to bits for Leona, she thoroughly deserves it."

Lewis was one of three new entries in the top 10, with boy band McFly's "The Heart Never Lies" at three and Mancunian rockers Oasis and "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" at 10.

Last week's number one "About You Now" by all-girl band the Sugababes dropped to four, while troubled U.S. singer Britney Spears' comeback single "Gimme More" was another faller, slipping to six from three.

Like Lewis, multinational rock band The Hoosiers, who describe their music as "odd pop", went straight in at number one in the album charts with "The Trick of Life".

Irish rock veteran Van Morrison's compilation -- "Still on Top - The Greatest Hits" -- was at two and was the only other new entry in the top 10 with last week's number one "Pull the Pin" by Welsh rockers Stereophonics falling to six.
