MEXICO CITY, Sept 29 (Reuters) - Cesar Luis Menotti's Tecos UAG won for the second time in four days, beating Morelia 3-2 in the first Mexican championship match to be played with a pink ball.
The Mexican federation has announced that all first division matches for the next month will use pink balls as the sport joins the campaign against breast cancer.
Match tickets will also be printed in pink -- the colour adopted by breast cancer associations -- and supporters will be encouraged to wave pink balloons during games.
Chilean striker Hugo Droguett opened the scoring for Tecos in the fourth minute of Friday night's game but Gonzalo Choy and Luis Angel Landin scored either side of halftime to put the visitors ahead.
The Owls hit back in the last quarter of an hour as Gerardo Torres and Argentine Mauro Cejas gave them their third win since Menotti, Argentina's 1978 World Cup winning coach, took over at the end of last month.
The win moved Tecos, who have 11 points from 10 games, off the bottom of Group One in the Apertura championship.
Morelia still top Group Three with 15 points but will lose their place if either one of San Luis, Cruz Azul or Guadalajara win at the weekend.
