June 3 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 2130 GMT on Wednesday.

* BAGHDAD - A bomb planted in a cafe in a mostly Shi'ite district of southwest Baghdad killed nine people and wounded 31 others, police said.

* MOSUL - Gunmen killed one policeman and wounded another in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

* MUSSAYAB - A roadside bomb wounded three people when it exploded in front of a greengrocer's shop in Mussayab, 60 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

* SHAWMLI - Gunmen in a car shot and killed a man in Shawmli, south of Hilla, 100 km (60 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

* BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb wounded three people when it exploded in the south Baghdad district of Doura, police said.

BAGHDAD - A U.S. soldier died on Tuesday of combat-related wounds after a roadside bomb struck his patrol in eastern Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement.
