Italian Stocks - Factors to watch on Aug 4

 MILAN, Aug 4 (Reuters) - The following factors could affect
Italian markets on Tuesday.
 Reuters has not verified the newspaper reports, and cannot

 INTESA SANPAOLO (ISP.MI)
 BNP Paribas (BNPP.PA) said it would buy majority control of
Findomestic, its consumer credit venture with Intesa Sanpaolo,
taking an extra 25 percent for 625 million euros. [ID:nWEA4313]
 
 Intesa Sanpaolo said the sale of 25 percent of Findomestic
could add 13 basis points to Core Tier 1 this year and have
further benefits of up to 14 basis points. [ID:nMAT009857]
 
 UNICREDIT (CRDI.MI)
 The bank, Italy's biggest by market value, will report
quarterly results in the afternoon. A conference call is

 * Its Polish unit Pekao BAPE.WA turned in a second quarter
net profit of 613 million zlotys, compared with 501 million
zlotys expected as the average in a Reuters poll.

 ENEL (ENEI.MI)
 The power company will sell a 49 percent stake in Green
Power renewables unit in two stages, an informed source said on

 TELECOM ITALIA (TLIT.MI)
 The company's Brazilian mobile unit, TIM Participacoes
(TSU.N) (TCSL3.SA), turned in a second-quarter net loss of 15.2
million reais, compared with a loss of 66.3 million reais a year

 * ENI (ENI.MI)
 RBS cut its price target on the share to 20 euros from 23.7
euros.
 
 SAIPEM (SPMI.MI)
 JP Morgan raised its rating on the stock to neutral from
underweight and upped its price target to 21 euros from 14
euros.
 
 FIAT (FIA.MI)
 Italy's Transport Ministry said new car registrations were
up 6.16 percent in July. Those for Fiat's three brands were up

 * UNIPOL (UNPI.MI)
 Banco Santander (SAN.MC) has identified Unipol's unit UGF
Banca as a possible target to acquire, MF said in an unsourced
report adding Unipol sees the banking unit as strategic.
 Unipol was not immediately available to comment
 
 * JP Morgan cut its price target on Unipol to 0.79 euros,
from 0.85 euros, with an "underweight" rating.
 
 EDISON (EDN.MI)
 The power company expects the first commissioning cargo for
its Adriatic liquefied natural gas import terminal to arrive

 * MARIELLA BURANI (MBFG.MI)
 An inquiry has been opened into possible market-rigging and
false accounting at the fashion group, La Repubblica reported in
an unsourced report. The company was not immediately available
for comment.
 
 SOCOTHERM (SCTM.MI)
 The company's board said it would put together a
restructuring plan in the framework of a pre-insolvency
procedure to help manage its debts. It will also sell its stake
in Malaysia's PPSCIH for 15.5 million euros to Wasco Coatings
Limited.
 
 The stock market suspended shares in Socotherm indefinitely.
 PRADA
 Qatar Investment Authority is interested in acquiring a
stake of 30 percent in Prada as part of a partnership with the
fashion house, according to Il Sole 24 Ore in a report quoting
banking sources.


 * ITALCEMENTI (ITAI.MI)
 Deutsche Bank raised its rating on the stock to hold from
sell.
