STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-FTSE small caps up 1.2 pct at midday

The FTSE Small Cap index .FTSC gains 1.2 percent in mid-session trade, outperforming London's blue chip issues .FTSE which add 1 percent, while the midcaps .FTMC rise 2.2 percent.

Mwana Africa (MWA.L) rises 12 percent after announcing the provision of up to $10 million debt funding for the Freda Rebecca gold mine in Zimbabwe has been approved. The loan facility is expected to help the company achieve its planned increase in production. [ID:nRnsD9041B]

Nipson Digital Printing (NDP.L) tumbles 45 percent after the company says no agreement has been reached between various parties on financial restructuring and the firm continues to seek a solution for which it has set a short timescale. [ID:nRnsD9053B]
