CFE, Ackermans win wind power contract - paper

BRUSSELS, June 5 (Reuters) - Belgian companies CFE (CFEB.BR) and Ackermans & Van Haaren (ACKB.BR) are among a consortium that has won a concession to build a 1 billion euro ($1.42 billion) wind park, Belgian business daily De Tijd said on Friday.

The energy minister had awarded the contract for a fourth park in the North Sea to Rentel, a joint venture between Ostend-based renewable energy group Electrawinds, and port development and management firm Rent-A-Port, De Tijd reported.

Rent-A-Port is jointly controlled by building company CFE, and by holding company Ackermans & Van Haaren with its management also holding a 10 percent stake.

Electrawinds intended to start construction in 2013 and have the park operational in 2015, De Tijd said. The park's 48 turbines each of 6 megawatts would have enough power for 265,000 families.

CFE is 47 percent owned by France's Vinci (SGEF.PA). ($1=.7058 Euro) (Writing by Anne Jolis; Editing by Hans Peters)
