Shares in European aerospace group EADS (EAD.PA) gain 4.6 percent, topping the CAC 40 .FCHI leaderboard, as traders cite weakness in the euro, which helps lower costs for the parent of plane maker Airbus.

"The dollar story has really taken over the press report out of Japan. The report is negative news, but it's a big move for the currency today, and people are concentrating on that.This stock is such a dollar play, more than any other CAC 40 stock," one trader says.

Japan's Yomiuri newspaper said on Monday All Nippon Airways (9202.T) will scrap plans to buy the Airbus A380, without citing sources.

On Monday, the euro EUR= fell 1.5 percent versus the dollar, to $1.3662 according to Reuters data, its lowest level since mid-December.  Continued...
