Shares in German software maker Software AG (SOWG.DE) are indicated 2.6 percent higher and set to outperform the broader market .GDAXI, which is seen 1.1 percent lower, after the company posts forecast-beating third-quarter results and hikes its 2009 outlook.

"Quite a good and solid set of figures, except a slight miss in licence sales which was compensated by a good performance in maintenance sales," DZ Bank analyst Oliver Finger says in a note.

The company now expects a 2009 EBIT margin of 25-25.5 percent and sales of 835-845 million euros ($1.23-1.25 billion), after delivering forecast-busting third-quarter results. For more double click on [ID:nWEA8853]
