Shares in Deutsche Post (DPWGn.DE) rise 1.6 percent, one of three advancer among Frankfurt's bluechip stocks .GDAXI, after the logistics company and mail carrier reports a lower-than-expected net loss for the third quarter and raises its full-year outlook for underlying EBIT.

"The positive newsflow is a good start for the new CFO Larry Rosen and the better guidance should result in a positive share price reaction today," says DZ Bank analyst Robert Czerwensky. WestLB analyst Raimon Kaufeld says: "(Deutsche Post) has a very strong market position, through an economy of scale, in all divisions and a very solid cash position. The company could be among the winners of a potential recovery of the economic environment in the coming quarters."
