STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Zurich Fin falls on Q3 disappointment

Shares in Zurich Financial Services (ZURN.VX) fall 3 percent, underperforming 1.3 percent drop in the DJ STOXX European insurance index .SXIP, after third-quarter earnings and combined ratio miss expectations.

"Despite the slight miss on earnings, we don't see the trends as a problem with these likely to be largely one-off," a trader says, adding management is making the business more resilient by strengthening reserves.
