STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Abengoa up on strong 9-mths earnings

Shares in Spanish engineering and energy firm Abengoa (ABG.MC) gain over 3 percent, Spain's best performer, after posting a sharp rise in nine-months earnings late Wednesday, driven by a stronger-than-expected bioenergy performance.

"Abengoa's results confirmed its robust growth profile, with engineering as the main driver, while in the third quarter the surprises came from the bioenergy division," Fortis analysts say in a note.
