Shares in computer consultancy Capgemini (CAPP.PA) drop 3.5 percent, the second-biggest losers on France's CAC 40 .FCHI, after the firm posts a worse-than-expected drop in third-quarter sales.

"The sales figures are disappointing, lower than what we had expected. The extent of the deterioration compared with the second quarter is surprising," CM CIC analysts write in a note.

After one hour of trading, the volume on Capgemini shares already represent 87 percent of the stock's 90-day average daily volume.

The stock is down 15 percent since reaching a 13-month high in mid-October.
