Rugby-France fullback Medard recovers from H1N1 flu
PARIS, July 5 (Reuters) - France and Toulouse fullback Maxime Medard has recovered from the H1N1 virus he was diagnosed with after the national team returned from last month's tour of New Zealand and Australia.
"I'm feeling better. All the symptoms have disappeared," Medard said in a interview published on the website of Toulouse regional newspaper La Depeche du Midi (www.ladepeche.fr).
"I still take Tamiflu and wear a mask but doctors said I would soon been able to leave hospital", he added.
The 23-year-old Medard, who has 11 caps, is one of the most promising backs in French rugby. He scored the late intercept try which helped defeat New Zealand 27-22 in the first test of their tour on June 13.
