Golf-Three-way tie in Wales Open after long weather-delay

NEWPORT, Wales, June 6 (Reuters) - Bad weather caused a severe disruption to the Wales Open third round on Saturday and the round has spilled over to Sunday.
Three players share the clubhouse lead on five-under-par 208 - surprise contender Jeppe Huldahl of Denmark, Spaniard Ignacio Garrido and Briton Nick Dougherty.
Second round leader Richie Ramsay lay one shot off the lead with two holes to go on Sunday but faced the possibility of a two-shot penalty for a rules infringement.
Heavy rain resulted in a six-hour delay to the start and then strong winds buffeted parts of the Twenty Ten course at Celtic Manor.
The little-known Huldahl, returning to main tour this year after a spell on the lower-ranked European Challenge Tour, mastered the conditions to set the target with a 68. Dougherty then eagled the last to match the Dane overall with a 70, while Dougherty's playing-partner, former Ryder Cup man Garrido made it a three-way tie with a birdie on 18 for a 71.
Two more Britons, Simon Dyson and Jonathan Waring, both with 70s, are a shot back of the leaders in the clubhouse.
The two Ryder Cup captains who will be opponents in October 2010 at Celtic Manor have now swapped places on the scoreboard.
U.S. skipper Corey Pavin made up a six-shot overnight deficit on his European counterpart Colin Montgomerie and then went a stroke better. Continued...
