Hezbollah, allies say lose Lebanon vote-source
BEIRUT, June 7 (Reuters) - Hezbollah and its allies in Lebanon's pro-Syria alliance lost a parliamentary election on Sunday pitting them against a U.S.-backed coalition, a senior politician close to the alliance said.
"We've lost the election," the source, who declined to be named, told Reuters. "We accept the result as the will of the people."
The source expected the anti-Syrian coalition, led by Sunni politician Saad al-Hariri, to win at least 70 seats in the 128-seat parliament. "We'll go back to the way we were," the source said. (Reporting by Laila Bassam; Writing by Tom Perry; editing by Ralph Boulton)
