Iberia says BA merger talks backed by board

MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish airline Iberia said on Tuesday its decision to launch merger talks with British Airways was backed unanimously by its board.

At a joint press conference with Iberia, British Airways' Chief Executive Willie Walsh said alliance talks with American Airlines were continuing and AA welcomed the Iberia merger talks.
