STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-FTSE small caps up 0.6 pct early on

The FTSE Small Cap Index .FTSC gains 0.6 percent in early trade, taking its cue from the wider UK market where the FTSE 100 .FTSE and FTSE 250 .FTMC add 0.9 percent each.

British sausage-skin maker Devro Plc (DVO.L) tops the small-cap risers, up 6.8 percent after saying it expects to post a profit for the full-year ending Dec. 31 ahead of market forecasts as demand for edible collagen remained strong, and would invest in additional capacity in 2010. [ID:nBNG433553]

Software maker Inspired Gaming (INGG.L) falls 7 percent as the company proposes a share capital reorganisation and says trading for the 52 weeks to Sept. 26 is inline with expectations, although it remains cautious about customer trends. [ID:nRnsI1546C]
