Deutsche Bank hires Baldelli to head Italian M&A
LONDON, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE) said on Monday it hired Credit Suisse (CSGN.VX) banker Giuseppe Baldelli as head of Italian mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Baldelli will be a managing director based in Deutsche's London office, reporting to the bank's global heads of M&A, Henrik Aslaksen and Brett Olsher.
Baldelli spent 13 years at Credit Suisse, where he advised clients including Telecom Italia, Weather/Wind, SEAT, De Agostini and Lottomatica, Deutsche said in a statement.
Deutsche Bank ranks fifth this year for announced M&A involving Italy, advising on $16.76 billion of deals, according to Thomson Reuters data. Credit Suisse ranks seventh.
Fellow Credit Suisse banker Gianluca Ricci is joining as a director in Italian M&A.
