TIMELINE-Recent attacks in Lebanon on anti-Syrian figures
(Reuters) - Anti-Syrian Christian lawmaker Antoine Ghanem was killed in a car bomb explosion in the eastern part of Beirut on Wednesday, security sources said.
The lawmaker of the Christian Phalange party, was among at least seven people killed and appeared to be the main target of the bombing, the sources said.
Beirut has been hit by a series of bomb attacks in the past 2-1/2 years, many of them aimed at anti-Syrian politicians.
Here is a chronology of major events in Lebanon since former Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri was killed in a car bombing, along with 22 other people, on February 14, 2005.
