STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-T.Italia Media up on asset sale report

Media company Telecom Italia Media (TCM.MI) shares are up 8 percent after an unsourced report that businessman Tarak Ben Ammar is considering buying the company's Italian La7 and MTV television channels.

Telecom Italia and Ben Ammar are not immediately available for comment.

A broker says the Ben Ammar report is responsible for the spike in the share and adds that La7 channel is "doing well and picking up market share" though remaining at a low level compared to competitors.
